TO HELEN BACK toured in 2017 & 2018. It secured 22 dates across the UK in large part thanks to house theatre. It was nominated for New Writing South’s Best New Play at Brighton Fringe 2017
Here is what it’s about:
Helen is a burglar. She likes breaking into hospitals. She admits you into a surreal hospital to be look-out as she sneaks around wards, x-ray rooms and cupboards to discover the bizarre, the bemusing – and the badger.
Directed by Hannah Silva, To Helen Back analyses sickness, health and what it really means to recover. So let this one of a kind performer put a hospital around your head as you find out what’s really going on inside hers. Full of heart, dark and hope, this brave show is both funny and moving, honest and deceptive, authentic and surreal.
